Thank You Card

The Lanark Lanimer Committee has been overwhelmed by the support of the citizens of the Royal Burgh of Lanark in decorating their houses for Lanimer Week 2016.
Thank-You-Card-2016

Over 600 Thank You Cards have been distributed over the last few days, and we have actually run out!

If we have missed you this year, please accept our apologies, but also our extreme thanks for your tremendous support, and we will be upping the print run next year!

Happy Lanimers!!!

Leaving the Country Park Car Park at 6.15pm, the ‘Safe Oot, Safe In!’ was carried out by Lord Cornet Elect Gordon Jess.

The route this year took the riders from the Racecourse, down Robiesland Road and the Lady Mary to Braxfield Road. From Wellgatehead, the ride made it’s way to Kirkfieldbank through Delves Park, Castlebank, St Patrick’s Road, the Sewage Works road, and Mousewill Road. After going up The Ditches, through Newphlar, Rothesbank and along to the Lee Castle East Lodge, they returned to Kirkfieldbank for a short stop at Old Bridgend.

To complete the evening, the riders returned to Lanark Racecourse by the reverse route.

The Lord Cornets’ Club would like to thank the Landowners for allowing the ride to cross their land, and Police Scotland, the Red Cross, and club members and friends for marshaling the ride out.
