The Lanimer Committee are delighted to announce that our 2023 Crowning Lady will be June Main.
June is member of the Pebble Patch Lanimer entrants team and has been involved in many fabulous Lanimer entries over the last 30 years.
June was selected by a selection panel of Lanimer Committee members in recognition of her support for our annual celebrations and her working the community.
The Lanimer Committee wish June and her family a very Happy Lanimers.

The Lanimer Committee are delighted to announce that this year’s Lanimer Queen elect will be Chloe Robertson of Kirkfieldbank Primary School.
Chloe is so happy to be selected for this role and is looking forward to an exciting year and a wonderful Lanimers 2023.
We would like to wish Chloe and her a family a very HAPPY LANIMERS 2023.
The Lanimer Committee is delighted to announce that Ross Fitzgerald has been selected as the Lord Cornet Elect for 2023.
A well known and hard working member of the Lanimer Committee, Ross has been a Committee Convener for the past 8 years, responsible for organising and coordinating our annual perambulation the Marches.
This year will be all the more special as Ross will lead up the perambulation on Monday the 5th June in advance of his installation as Lord Cornet at the Shifting of the Standard Ceremony.
An experienced rider, Ross is looking forward to representing the Royal Burgh of Lanark at Common Rides and festivals around the country. Ross has also been the official Lanimer Farrier for a number of years, bringing his professional skills to support our Lanimer Equestrian events.
2023 won’t be Ross’ first time riding in the Lanimer Procession in an official capacity, having held roles of both Outrider and First Lord in the Lanimer Court.
The selection committee, comprising representatives from various organisations within the Royal Burgh, visited Ross on Sunday evening and he was delighted to accept the role.
“I’m honestly still in shock!” said Ross, “I didn’t expect them to turn up, I think it’s the only time in my life I’ve been speechless!”
We wish Ross a very enjoyable year in office and would like to wish him, his family, friends and supporters a very HAPPY LANIMERS!

Online application forms for the 2023 Lanimer Court have now been passed on to our local schools and have been issued to parents / guardians of all eligible pupil via emails and school apps.
All application forms should be completed by returned by 7pm on Saturday 31st December 2022
This year, the 2023 Lanimer Queen Elect** will be selected from P7 of Kirkfieldbank Primary School.

**Applicants for the Lanimer Queens role MUST live within a boundary from 3 miles of the front door of St Nicholas Parish Church, an approximate illustration of this boundary can be viewed HERE.
ALL addresses for applications for the 2023 Lanimer Queen role will be checked against this boundary.
After a 2 year break, the Lanimer Queen’s Reception returns for our 2022 Lanimer Week on Friday the 10th of June in Lanark Memorial Hall at 7pm.
Come along and see out 2022 Lanimer Court perform their Court Dances and enjoy an evening of entertainment from our Lanimer Entrants. Prizes will also be presented to Lanimer Entrants on the night too.

The Lanimer Committee is pleased to offer sales of adverts within the 2022 edition of our ever popular and collectable Lanimer brochure to local businesses and groups.
The Lanimer Brochure is a key source of fund raising revenue for the Lanimer Committee and makes a significant contribution to the running costs of our annual festivities. The 2022 Lanimer Brochure will be on sale from the 22rd of May and has a reach of approximately 10,000 readers within Lanark and the surrounding areas, providing great visibility of your business within the local community.

Adverts previously contained within the last years brochure will be re-used at no additional cost to advertisers. New artwork can be created by the Lanimer Publicity team for and additional charge of £30 per advert.

The Lanimer Committee are delighted to announce that this year’s Crowning Lady will be Karen Brown.
Karen is a well known member of the Lanimer Committee and has been Court Convener for the last 12 years, having joined the Committee in 1988.
She has been also leading member of Lanark Panto Club for a number of years, having served as its producer for 12 years, as well as taking to the stage in numerous leading roles.
Karen is also a driving force behind ‘The Broons’ Lanimer Lorries which contribute to the spectacle of our annual Lanimer Processions.
We would like to wish Karen and her friends and family a VERY Happy Lanimers and hope they have a wonderful time.

We would also like to give a special thank you to all the you people of our community who put themselves forward for our 2022 court, you are ALL a credit to your schools and helped make the day run very smoothly!
It’s not quite Christmas yet, but the Lanimer Committee are already looking towards the selection of next years 2022 Lanimer Court in the New Year.
Application forms were issued to our local schools last week and have now been issued to all potential court members parents / guardians by email.
2022 will see a much larger Lanimer Court, with 2021 P7’s who missed out last year being given a chance to participate in next years event.
The 2022 Lanimer Queen elect will be selected from Lanark Primary school, restarting the rota of local schools that was paused in 2021. The Lanimer Queen elect must live within a 3 mile boundary from St Nicholas Church front door
Applicants have until the 31st December to return an application to be in with a chance of playing a very important role in next years festivities.
