The Lanimer Silver Club are keen to increase their membership. We’re asking people to get in touch, to buy a Silver Club ticket, to help raise the needed funds for this years celebrations.

Tickets can be selected online at Lanimersilverclub.co.uk or by buying an Instant ticket at Jane & Senga Hair Design or Kelly at Glamorous in the High Street.

This week we will post the full list of winners from the first draw and carry out a second draw next weekend.

All of the money after issuing the prizes, is given to the Lanimer Committee to help meet the cost of our celebrations.

The Funeral Service for Ex Lord Cornet Joe Lambie will take place on Monday 3rd March at 12 noon in St Nicholas Parish Church, then to St Catherine’s Cemetery in Lanark.

Although Joe was a member of St John’s Church in Carluke, as very much a Lanark man, and an Ex Lord Cornet, the Lambie Family know that he would really have appreciated the service being held in his home town.

The Funeral Mass for Vena Kelly, Crowning Lady in 1973, will take place at 9:30am on Monday 17th February in St Anthony’s Catholic Church, Maddiston Road, Brightons, Falkirk, FK2 0SB.

The Interment will take place thereafter at Polmont Cemetery, Grange Road, Polmont, FK2 0XZ at 11:00am.

It is with great sadness that The Lord Cornets’ Club has to advise that Ex Lord Cornet Joe Lambie, Lord Cornet in 1970, passed away this morning, at the age of 104!

Once funeral arrangements are known, the relevant details will be provided.

Our thoughts are with Joe’s family at this sad time.

The Lanark Lanimer Committee is delighted to announce that May Dickman has been selected as the Crowning Lady for 2025.

May will crown Lanimer Queen Maisey Talbot on Lanimer Day, Thursday 12th June.

Following his sad passing on Thursday 30th January, the Funeral Service for Ex Lord Cornet Robert Kennedy will take place at 2:30pm on Monday 24th February at Holytown Crematorium.
